Applications are invited to fill the position of Post-doctoral Fellow at the Center for International Business Studies, Department of Management, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Applicants should have (i) a PhD in management, international business or related disciplines; (ii) an excellent command of English (and knowledge of Chinese is a plus); (iii) advanced statistical skills (candidates should be able to use advanced statistical programs such as SPSS, SAS, STATA, etc.).

The appointee will (a) work under the supervision of one or more experienced faculty members in the Department of Management in the field of strategy and international business; and (b) be responsible for literature review, conceptualizing research questions, data analysis, and drafting of manuscripts. Possible project topics include: internationalization and regionalization strategy and process of Chinese firms and business groups; historical ties between countries and foreign direct investment; institutional environment and international acquisitions; and foreign multinational firms' strategy and performance in emerging markets.

Appointment will be made on contract basis for six to nine months commencing January 2012, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Salary will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
