Staff in the Department of Marketing and Management deliver units in five majors of the Bachelor of Commerce (demography, human resources management, international business, marketing, and public sector management), the Bachelor of Business Administration and the new Bachelor of Marketing and Media. At Postgraduate level staff contribute to three Master of Commerce specialisations (Human resource Management, Business Organisation and Management and Marketing) and the masters of International Business.
The Department of Marketing and Management has an opportunity for an Associate Professor to make a strong contribution to the development of the International Business discipline through research and teaching.
As the discipline leader, the successful applicant will:
• support the department’s research culture and drive the research capability of the International Business discipline by demonstrating their ability to attract external funding through internal/external grant applications mentoring junior staff and supervision of higher degree students
• contribute to teaching excellence through innovative curriculum development while teaching relevant and engaging undergraduate and postgraduate courses
• contribute to the administration of the department
• promote external links by engaging with industry and working with colleagues on new strategic initiatives
The discipline leader will possess (essential selection criteria):
• a PhD or equivalent relevant doctorate
• an established research program with a record of substantial publications
• extensive experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• leadership skills and extensive experience in research supervision
• a national and international reputation in research
• a track record of successful applications for external research funding
Appointment Type: full-time, continuing Package: Base salary (level D) from $118,847 to $130,860 pa, plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading. Performance based loadings may also be considered.
