We are seeking leading scholars in areas relating to commercialization, intellectual property, entrepreneurship and new ventures, and innovation. The position requires both impressive scholarly credentials and significant applied expertise.

To date, over fifteen such centers have been created at the University of South Carolina. The Center of Economic Excellence for the Hydrogen Economy was created with the support of Fluor Corporation and Savannah River Nuclear Solutions. It will support both the Innovation Chair in the Darla Moore School of Business and the Discovery Chair in the College of Engineering and Computing.

The Innovation Chair will be expected to conduct scholarly research, teach at the undergraduate and graduate level, and interface with Discovery Chair as well as the Chairs affiliated with the other Centers of Economic Excellence. Working with clinical faculty within Darla Moore School of Business, the Innovation Chair is expected to provide guidance to Chairs affiliated with Centers for Economic Excellence as well as other faculty on matters relating to commercialization, intellectual property, new ventures, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

We will begin reviewing credentials for candidates on January 20 and will continue until the position is filled. Nominations and applications should be submitted to: innovation@moore.sc.edu.
