Exciting news! The United States Trade and Development Agency, in coordination with the U.S.-Egypt Business Council and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Egyptian Embassy and the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce, will be hosting a two-day forum on June 27-28 to encourage enhanced trade and sustainable economic development in Egypt. This conference, being held this year in Washington D.C., will provide an unprecedented opportunity to foster increased cooperation and trade between the United States and Egypt by encouraging business-to-business networking and highlighting commercial opportunities and financing resources.

This year the keynote speaker will be Lars Thunell, the CEO of the International Finance Corporation which is a member of the World Bank Group. There will also be many other speakers of note that will talk about the different opportunities and the synergies that a strong relationship between the U.S. and Egypt can bring.

There will be multiple breakout sessions during the forum, which will focus on four priority economic sectors:  energy, information and communications technologies, transportation and agriculture. Hopefully this event will create a stronger economic relationship between the U.S. and Egypt. There is still a chance to participate, so don’t delay!
